The RAINBOW ROOM is our quilt/gift shop on site at the North Star Retreat Center.
Here you will find the gorgeous Cherrywood Hand Dyed fabric, Misty Fuse, other quilting notions, wool and my very own - SIMPLE MOM HANDMADE SOAPS!
We carry Fat Quarters, Half Yards, Full Yards and 2-Yard increments of Cherrywood Hand Dyed Fabric which is just so yummy. You can also find the 4, 8 & 12 step colorways that gently step up in color gradation as Fat Quarters, Half Yards and Full Yards which make all projects look stunning. Cherrywood is perfect for paper piecing as there is no right or wrong side to it and it is so easy to sew on. The super high thread count means it doesn't fray which is great for raw edge applique. It's just so awesome to work/play with! Cherrywood Grab Bags, Cherry Rolls and of course patterns are stocked till they are gone. Interested in coming to THE RAINBOW ROOM? North Star Retreat Center is focused on providing high-quality guest services in a most enjoyable sacred space - we will do everything we can to make your stay with us truly awesome.
Quick Facts:
- Sleeps 24, over 11,000+ square feet
- Fully equipped commercial kitchen
- 17 single beds with 1 double and 3 king sized beds
- 5 bedrooms all with own bathroom, 2 rooms with over-sized Jacuzzi tubs and walk in showers, 1 room with jets in the tub, 1 full bath & 1 room with a 3/4 bath.
- Main area is 40 x 30 ft. with a 16 foot high pressed white tin ceiling with 2 beautiful cathedral style windows with a ton of natural light. Great lighting so leave your lamps at home!
- New adjustable height tables, new armless task chairs, new telescoping LED Ott lights, 2 big boards for ironing and big irons, 3 cutting mats, and 2 fireplaces.
- Linens, towels, washcloths and hand towels provided.
- Please note that our beautifully historic building is not handicap accessible.
- No pets allowed.
